The Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast will continue its series of travelogues with “A Trip to Prague,” to be presented in the church, 37 Miller St., at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 20.

The travelogue, in the form of a slide show and accompanying narration, will be presented by Stephen Allen, a retired journalist and travel writer. The program is free to the public.

“During the past 10 years, this capital of the Czech Republic has become one of the most popular travel destinations for Americans,” Allen said. “The reasons for that are easy to see. Prague is still relatively new in the tourism business, and as a result, accommodations and meals are quite a bit less than you would find in cities such as Paris or London. An added plus is that the people there are very friendly toward Americans.”

A resident of Belfast, Allen also is the primary author of the travel book “Fodor’s Maine Coast.” The first edition of the book, which came out in 2005, was the result of a suggestion that Allen made to Fodor’s. The third edition came out a month ago. For more information call Jeffrey at 322-2155 or e-mail jrmabee@prexar.com.
