American Legion Post 157 is sponsoring a veterans’ benefits seminar Saturday, April 17, at 11 a.m. at the Legion Hall on Route 1 North in Sandy Point. All veterans and their spouses are invited to attend.

There willbe guest speakers who are well-versed in discussing health-care eligibility, the VA claims process, service-connected disabilities, Agent Orange-related illnesses, burial and memorial benefits, VA home loan guaranty, career counseling, and tax credits and benefits. Refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity for questions and scheduling follow-up meetings.

This is an opportunity for veterans and their families to learn about what benefits they may have accrued during their time in the service and hear about important changes that may have occurred since they left the service.

Questions and RSVP’s can be addressed to Commander Bob Hanish (567-3391) or rhanish@msn.com and Seminar Coordinator Ed Burns (567-6005) or mentor@roadrunner.com.
