The newly established Waldo County 4H Club recently made a donation of dog biscuit treats to the Searsport Animal Fund Endowment. 4H Adviser Connie Tuller said group members decided to do a service project, and opted to make bags of dog biscuits with a recipe card included in the bag. Most of the bags were given to SAFE, and some were also given to the Bangor Humane Society.

Anne Crimaudo, seen here, accepts a box full of bagged treats from 4H member Ravi Weaver, age 9, of Waldo. Crimaudo said SAFE is grateful for the donation. “When we have clients with dogs, we give them biscuits in addition to regular food,” she said. “Because people who can’t afford to buy food certainly can’t afford treats.” Anyone interested in joining the Waldo County 4H Club should contact Tuller at 223-5039.
