River Arts’ next exhibition, “Faces,” will be juried by artist and art critic Ken Greenleaf of Waldoboro. River Arts, 170 Main St./Business Route 1, is inviting artists to submit up to three pieces in any medium. “Faces,” will open Friday, April 30 with an opening night reception from 5 to 7 p.m.

Here in Maine, Greenleaf’s name has been synonymous with art for decades. His critical writings about art long have appeared in the Maine Sunday Telegram and Portland Phoenix.  As an artist, Greenleaf is the veteran of more than 20 solo exhibitions including several shows at New York City’s renowned Tibor de Nagy Gallery. His work has been reviewed in publications such as The New York Times, Artforum and ArtNews.

Drop-off dates are Friday and Saturday, April 23 and 24, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; the exhibit will hang until June 11. For detailed requirements on size, weight limits, fees and commissions, visit riverartsme.org.
