An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity between April 6 and April 12.

April 6
Matthew J. Carnahan, 37, of Northport was summoned for speeding 64 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 137.

Charlene L. Roussel, 42, of Calais was summoned for speeding 56 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 1.

Ashley M. Dodd, 21, of Belfast was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fines.

Robert A. Kilpatrick, 53, of Searsport was summoned for operating after suspension.

Michelle J. Powers, 43, of East Orland was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25 mph zone on Main Street.

April 7
Melissa B. Gent, 28, of Searsport was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

April 8
Stephen C. Poulin, 41, of East Vassalboro was summoned for speeding 29 mph in a 15 mph school zone.

Matthew J. Abbott, 22, of Belfast was summoned for failing to show proof of insurance and failing to stop at a stop sign.

April 10
Kristophor A. Hillgrove, 23, of Rockland was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

At about 11 a.m., Deborah W. Pierce, 74, of Belfast was driving a 2006 Toyota 4-door east on Main Street. Dianne W. Miller, 61, of Dallas was driving a 2010 Lincoln 4-door rental car on Lincolnville Avenue. Miller was pulling out from Lincolnville Avenue when she struck Pierce’s car as she passed. Damage to Pierce’s car was estimated at $4,000 and about $2,000 to Miller’s. There were no injuries.

April 12
Edward J. Barker, 59, of Monroe was arrested for violating condition of release.

John E. Bryant, 27, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25 mph zone on High Street.

Larrain Luckl-Slaymaker, 57, was summoned for speeding 61 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 1.

At about 4 p.m. Clare M. Peters, 58, of Morrill was parked legally at a gas station on Northport Avenue. Donald C. Ross, 72, of Warren drove the 2006 Kentworth tractor-trailer he was operating into the parking lot of the gas station. As he pulled up to the gas pumps, he struck the rear of Peters’ 2002 Ford 4-door on the driver’s side. Damage to Peters’ car was estimated at $1,200. No damages were reported to the tractor-trailer. There were no injuries.
