Kindergarten through fifth-grade students at the Captain Albert Stevens School in Belfast danced, sang, hula-hooped, told jokes, mimed and played guitars, pianos and trombones at April-palooza 2010, the latest edition of the elementary school’s annual talent show.
The event, presented by the CASS Parent Teacher Group, featured more than 30 acts. There were singing solos and duets. There were trios, quartets and quintets of jump-ropers. There was one shark costume and a tiny drum kit that may or may not have been played, at least three performances of songs originally recorded by Taylor Swift, and a hula-hooping Elvis.
Proceeds from the event went to benefit the fifth-grade Boston Museum Sleepover Trip.
