At 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 21 at Ingraham Equipment’s open house in Knox,Future MSAD 3 Co-chairwomen Paula Miron and Marsha Shibles will present a certificate of appreciation to Commissioner Seth H. Bradstreet III of the Department of Agriculture on behalf of the dairy farmers and supporters of the dairy industry. This presentation will be made in recognition of their generous contribution of $10,000 toward the naming gift for the multi-purpose field’s scoreboard at the Mount View High School complex.

The choice naming gift will be “got milk?” Clayton Larrabee of Knox obtained permission to display the “got milk?” logo on the board from MilkPEP, the Milk Processor Education Program. He then received donations made out to Future MSAD 3 from supporters of the dairy industry plus farmers from Waldo County as well as neighboring counties. Farmers donated $2 for every cow that was milked the morning of their contribution. These monies support Future’s campaign for the athletic and recreational enhancements to the new Mount View complex.

Future MSAD 3 is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) established in 2004 and led by a volunteer board of directors who represent the 11 towns of MSAD 3. Its mission is to support enhancements for the new K-12 Mount View School in Thorndike, Maine. These enhancements are not covered by state or district funding. Its first campaign supported the Clifford Performing Arts Center; this second campaign is for athletic and recreational enhancements.
