Exploritas and Tidewater Adventures of Belfast will offer four study programs this summer ideally suited for Maine residents. The programs are offered on multiple dates between June 27 and Sept. 26, and registration for limited enrollments is now underway. Maine residents may sign up as commuters; fees include all meals, museum fees, lectures and program transportation. Programs run Sunday evenings through noon the following Thursdays.

The Magic of Maine Art: The Farnsworth Art Museum and Monhegan Island let participants go behind-the-scenes at the Farnsworth Art Museum for an in-depth look at Maine’s artistic heritage including the Wyeths. The four-day study program, which includes a day trip to Monhegan Island, will be offered June 27 through July 1; Aug. 8 through 12; and Sept. 26 through 30. Commuter tuition is $458.

Capturing the Maine Coast with Digital Photography with Neal Parent of Belfast offers four days with the Midcoast photographer. who will help participants get the most out of their digital cameras through class instruction and on-location shooting. The course, for beginners and intermediates level, will be offered July 25 through 29; Aug. 22 through 26; and Sept. 19 through 23. Commuter tuition is $480.

Watercolors on the Coast of Maine with Susan Tobey White of the High Street Studio and Gallery in Belfast offers one-on-one instruction in both classroom and plein air settings. The four-day hands-on workshop will run July 18 through 22 (beginner); Aug. 1 through 5 (intermediate); and Sept. 5 through 9 (beginner). Commuter tuition is $487, which also includes beginner materials.

Maine’s Link to the Sea: Discover the Mid-Coast is a four-day exploration of Maine’s maritime history, artistic and cultural heritage behind the scenes at Penobscot Marine Museum, the Farnsworth Art Museum and the Castine Historical Society. Dates are July 6 through 10; and Sept. 12 through 16. Commuter tuition is $477.
