Giving his all in an attempt to corral a loose ball during the first game of the lacrosse season April 16 is Camden Hills’ Zach Wincklhofer, right. The senior went full-extension in an attempt to steal the ball from a Gardiner player, and recalled the importance of the play. “Possession is rare on our team and I saw an opportunity to win that ball even though he thought he had it on an easy scoop. I think [teammate] Nick Linscott came in and swiped up the scoop after I dove. I just tried not to give up on the play.” The Windjammers lost 16-3 to the Tigers in the home match in Rockport.
