An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Searsport Police Department reported the following activity between April 6 and April 20.

April 7
Lucinda S. Stanhope, 29, of Waldo was arrested and charged with operating after suspension and violating condition of release.

April 13
Bergthora Sinclair, 55, of Sanford was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

April 15
Albert Curtis, 28, of Bucksport was summoned for an inspection sticker violation and for failing to show proof of insurance.

Kara Bracy, 32, of Stetson was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Raymond Lapoint Jr., 54, of Franklin was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

April 17
Christina Ashworth, 56, of Prospect was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Randy Oliver, 53, of Monroe was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

General  news

Animal control officers responded to 10 animal problems within Searsport.

Police assisted the Searsport ambulance service, Searsport Fire Department and other area law enforcement agencies 14 times. Police also investigated five communication or harassment complaints, responded to three calls to Searsport District High School for juvenile-related problems, assisted motorists four different times, and placed two radar details — one in a school zone on April 16 and another on West Main Street on April 10.

In total, police responded to 90 calls for service.
