Drag racing season off to fast start

Despite a small bracket but under sunny skies, racers rolled to the line Sunday to start the 2010 drag racing season at Winterport Dragway.

The individual results were:

Gambler Race Final — 1, Bob Reynolds, Winterport; and 2, Rick Hunnewell, Ellsworth. Semifinalists: Julie Larrabee, Stockton Springs and Scott Gove, Dennysville.

Teen Racers — 1, Quinn Holt, Camden; and 2, Terry Sutherland, Ellsworth.
