The downtown Farnsworth Art Museum will hold an educator evening Thursday, May 13, between 4 and 6 p.m. It will feature a curatorial tour of the exhibition “Four in Maine: Site Specific,” which is on view throughout the museum campus through December. The tour will be followed by a catered reception in the museum library.

The second in a program of annual exhibitions devoted to artists working in Maine, “Four in Maine: Site Specific” focuses on the work of Kazumi Hoshino and Jesse Salisbury from Steuben; Warren Seelig, who has a studio in Rockland; and Aaron T. Stephan from Portland. Teachers from all grades levels and disciplines are welcome to attend. The educator evening offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about the artists and their work and to think about how it might be incorporated into classroom curriculum for next year.

This event is open and free to teachers from all grade levels and disciplines. Reservations are appreciated, and attendees should meet in the museum library. For more information, contact Denise Mitchell at dmitchell@farnsworthmuseum.org or call 596-6457, ext. 103.
