Balls have been flying across the court throughout the region in recent days as many high school boys and girls tennis squads have been in action as the regular season begins to take form.

On Monday, the Belfast boys and girls squads were able to taste victory over Rockland, while the Medomak Valley and Camden Hills boys were also able to post victories. On Tuesday, the Georges Valley teams split makeup matches.

As of Tuesday for the local boys squads, Camden Hills was 3-1, Belfast 2-1, Georges Valley 2-2, Medomak Valley 1-3 and Rockland 0-4 on the young season.

As for local girls teams, Camden Hills was 3-0, Belfast 3-1, Georges Valley 0-4, Medomak Valley 0-4 and Rockland 0-4.

Monmouth Academy 4, Georges Valley 1 … At Tenants Harbor Monday, the Buccaneers fell to the visiting Mustangs by a convincing margin.
