An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity between April 28 and May 4.

April 22
Harley L. Bean, 18, of Waterville was summoned for having an open alcohol container in his car.

Brian D. Carrara Jr., 20, of Waldo was summoned for speeding 73 mph in a 50 mph zone on Route 137 in Knox.

April 24
Geoffrey Randall, 22, of Liberty was summoned for failing to show proof of insurance.

April 25
Sonya R. Buckner, 19, of Raynham, Mass., was summoned for speeding 62 mph in a 25 mph zone on Main Street in Unity.

April 27
Jennifer Steingass, 27, of Greenbush was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

April 28
William A. Hauk, 24, of Swanville was summoned for speeding on Oak Hill Road in Belfast and for an inspection sticker violation.

Jerry L. Tucker, 31, of Northport was summoned for attempting to acquire drugs by deception.

Jalysa W. Parks, 19, of Searsport, was summoned for failing to stop at a stop sign.

April 29
Kevin C. Jewell, 22, of Searsport was arrested for violation of a protection order.

Lisa Grant, 37, of Brooks was summoned for passing a stopped school bus with lights flashing and for attaching false plates.

April 30
Ryan J. Klekotta, 27, of Isleboro was arrested for operating under the influence.

Keith E. Forsmaan, 38, of Hampden was summoned for speeding 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 141 in Swanville.

Nichole A. Kelley-Sirois, 35, of Hampden was summoned for speeding 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 141 in Swanville.

Barry E. Tripp, 28, of Frankfort was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

David P. Carlow, 19, of Unity was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Walter E. Davis, 60, of Unity was arrested on warrant for theft by deception, operating under the influence, operating after revocation and failing to notify police of crash.

Christopher Mullett, 44, of Monroe was summoned for speeding 63 mph in a 45 mph zone on Oak Hill Road in Belfast.

May 1
Sarah M. Riley, 19, of Wakefield, R.I., was summoned for illegal possession of liquor by a minor.

Miranda L. MacFadzen, 19 of Groton, Conn., was summoned for illegal possession of liquor by a minor.

Gerald D. Gustafson, Jr., 46, of Searsport, was arrested for operating under the influence and operating after suspension.

May 2
Richard Merrit, 53, of Thorndike was arrested on a warrant for warrant probation revocation.

Ayron Vanhoy, 20, of Unity was arrested for violation of condition of release and terrorizing.

A man collided with a telephone pole at about 8:20 p.m. after he lost control of his car, skidded onto the opposite side of the road, skidded back into his lane and into a ditch, and spun around before crashing into a pole, according to the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Deputy Bob Keating said Seth W. McCann, 19, of Teaneck, N.J., was driving at a high rate of speed on Route 1 in Lincolnville when he lost control and skidded off the southbound side of the road. When he corrected the car, he skidded across the roadway onto the northbound shoulder. He continued to skid and crossed the center of the road again, according to police.

He reentered the ditch on the southbound side, spinning around before striking a telephone pole. Little damage was done to the pole, but McCann injured his hands and caused an estimated $10,000 damage to the 2000 Acura two-door he was driving. McCann was summoned for driving to endanger and failing to obtain license within 30 days of residency.

May 3
Bryan R. King, 52, of Burnham was summoned for driving to endanger.

Joseph E. Robina, 68, of Unity was arrested on a warrant for sexual misconduct with a 9-year-old boy. According to Keating, the case is still being investigated. No further details are being released. Robina, who is a registered sex offender, is currently out on bail.

Peter P. Mergendahl, 53, of Thomaston was summoned for speeding 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 1 in Northport.

Norman E. Parsons, 48, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 69 mph in a 50 mph zone on Route 137 in Belfast.

Joshua Maloon, 23, of Brooks was arrested for probation violation.

Smith Bickford, 47, of Dixmont was summoned for speeding 80 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 203 in Brooks.

Phyllip Stevens, 19, of Northport was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fines.

May 4
Christopher Sudsbuy, 38, of Belfast was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fees.

Rose Marrie Hall, 36, of Brooks was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fees.
