William “Bill” W. Knoeller, 86, died May 2, 2010, in Boynton Beach, Fla.

He was born Aug. 29, 1923, in the Bronx, N.Y., the son of William A. and Florence (Roth) Knoeller. William was a Navy veteran who served on the Ben Franklin. He was also a member of the Stockton Springs American Legion. William Loved boating, fishing and being with his family.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Ann Knoeller; and a sister.

Bill is survived by his loving children, Dorothy Davidson and her significant other, Jack, of Boynton Beach, Fla., Barbara Knoeller and her husband, Tim Fisher, of Melville, N.Y., and William Martin Knoeller of Eastern Long Island, N.Y.; eight grandchildren Robin, Brooke and Brian Davidson, Timmy, Kristy and Kelly Fisher, William Oaks and Jenny Knoeller; a great-granddaughter, Ellie Knoeller; nieces and nephews Viola Whaley, Walter Grabowski, and many others.

Visitation will be held Wednesday May 19, from 5-7 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.
