The Riverbend Players of Bucksport are holding auditions for their upcoming summer production, which takes place at The Alamo Theatre in Bucksport, during the Bucksport Bay Festival. Show dates will be on July 24 and July 27.

This year’s production will be directed by Peter Clain, and will include two comic military skits, along with much singing and performing in between the skits. The show has an old-time USO flavor, and a percentage of the proceeds will go toward the new veterans’ memorial here in Bucksport.

Riverbend is looking for several adults, at least one male in his 30s, another in his 40s, as well as two middle-aged women, and at least two teen girls for the skits. In addition to the skit cast, performers for the show will be needed, so anyone who can sing, dance, do stand-up comedy, play an instrument, and/or perform and entertain is welcome to stop by for the auditions.

Auditions will be held at the Jewett Community Center, Bridge Street, Bucksport, Tuesday, June 1, and Thursday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m. Come prepared to perform, and/or be prepared as well to read something for the skit audition parts.
