Limited space is available for Belfast Maskers’ popular Theater Camp. The camp again will be overseen by Elise Morrow-Schap with additional instruction and demonstrations from trained theater students and professionals.

Morrow-Schap, a recent graduate of Catholic University of America, has been cast in a leading role in William Inge’s “Picnic,” which opens July 1 in Steamboat Landing Park, and will portray the title character in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” opening July 22. At Maskers Theater Camp, children age 8 through 12 are offered a co-ed experience in singing, dancing, script development, costuming, lighting design, choreography, sound design, set painting, prop design, set decoration and more.

The two-week camp will begin Monday, July 5, and sessions will run weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The camp term will culminate in a public performance by the children. Belfast Maskers theater camp offers a safe and inclusive environment where each child feels valued as a part of the theater community.

The cost for the entire two-week program is $175. Belfast Maskers is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. More information can be found at belfastmaskers.com. For registration forms, call Aynne Ames at 338-9836 or send e-mail to maskers@roadrunner.com.
