The Maine Conservation Corps recently welcomed Carl Keicher of Sandy Point and Andrea Simoneau of Brooks to serve as team members and AmeriCorps volunteers for the summer. The MCC conducts conservation projects throughout the state of Maine, including extensive recreational trail construction and rehabilitation.

Keicher is the son of Faith Campbell, also of SandyPoint. He is a 2002 graduate of Searsport District High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Maine at Machias, where he studied recreation management. Keicher has served three previous seasons with the MCC, and this season he will once again serve on a crew of three to seven members while undertaking several trails projects across the state.

Simoneau is the daughter of Duke and Amy Simoneau, also of Brooks. She is a 2005 graduate of Mount View High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, where she studied history. This season Simoneau will serve on a crew of three to seven members while undertaking several trails projects across Maine.
