Susan Julia Kinsey, 57, died May 18, 2010, at the Redington-Fairview General Hospital.

She was born in Waterville Sept. 5, 1952, a daughter of Basil W. and Julia M. (Oakes) Blethen. Susan was educated in the schools of Oakland and graduated from Thomas College. She worked at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville for several years.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, being on her computer and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Susan is survived by a daughter, Julie Courtney, and her husband, Amos, of North Anson; a son, Basil Marson, of Waterville; her father, Basil Blethen, of Madison and Florida; a sister, Barbara Chubbuck, and her husband, Fred, of Benton; two granddaughters, Annie Rowe and her boyfriend, Jeremiah Hathaway, of Norridgewock, and Deborah Rowe of North Anson; a great-grandson, Andrew Rowe, of Norridgewock; three great-granddaughters, Patience Rowe of Norridgewock, Gracelyn Rowe of Norridgewock, and Roza Rowe of North Anson; a nephew, Christorpher Pelletier, and his wife, Tracy, of Oakland; a niece, Shelli Jo Pelletier, of Waterboro/Benton; three great-nieces, Lindsey Fisher of Waterville, Kyra Pelletier, and Katrina Pelletier, both of Oakland; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her mother, Julia Mildred Blethen.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 29, at the Thorndike Center Cemetery at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Liz Sullivan officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather after the service at the Benjamin Berry Post American Legion, Windmere Road, Unity.
