The side gallery of Greenhut Galleries, 146 Middle St., will feature “Remembering Summer Camp,” a show of new work by Alison Rector of Morrill, beginning Thursday, June 3 and continuing through the end of the month.

The public is invited to a reception for Rector’s show and for “Tom Paiement: Entropy Aftermath A, B, C, X” June 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Rector is exhibiting a group of nine new paintings, nostalgic images that depict memories of favorite quiet places. Continuing her work with interiors, the artist has created paintings of sun-filled bedrooms, camp kitchens and porches. Each painting tells a story.

Rector has a bachelor of art degree in studio art from Brown University, including study at Rhode Island School of Design. Her work is in selected collections throughout the state. She was featured along with Linden Frederick of Belfast in Artist Conversations, a Maine Arts Commission publication.

Greenhut Galleries hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 888-772-2693.
