On Sunday, June 13, at 3 p.m. at the Camden Opera House, P2PDance Center, home of Atlantic Ballet Company, will present its Spring Performance featuring a colorful array of dances, such as “Stars and Stripes Ballet Suite,” “Four Seasons” and “All That Jazz.”

Hip hop and tap dancers will pulse to the percussive and rhythmic downbeat of today’s music while classical ballet dancers of all ages will shine on the opera house stage, performing character dances from Spain and Italy accompanied by musical classics such as Hungarian Dance No.6, “Don Quixote” and “Swan Lake.” Little ones, as young as 3, will totally enchant audiences.

P2P Dance Center trains both professional and student dancers to perform in its troupe Atlantic Ballet Company, which has been acclaimed for its popular “Nutcracker” productions during Camden-Rockport-Lincolnville Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas by the Sea celebration. More than 450 students are bussed into these performances. P2PDance and Atlantic Ballet Company are in the running for a major Maine Arts Commission grant to teach in three area schools beginning this fall.

Atlantic Ballet Company has been chosen as the resident dance company for Camden Civic Theatre’s summer production of “Godspell.” Dancers from Atlantic Ballet Company’s summer Dance Your Dream program will be dancing along side local singers and actors, and original choreography will be created by Heather Cox-Griffith, Michele Cox and new staff member Bryan Lewis.

Tickets are $14, $10 for senior citizens and children younger than 13.
