Northport Music Theater will hold summer camps this summer for Midcoast students age 8 through 11 who have an interest in the performing arts of singing, acting and dancing. Registration deadline is Tuesday, June 15.

The Musical Theater Camp will learn and present “Disney’s Mulan Junior.” The show is a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor and a fighting spirit with a score that includes favorites like “Reflection,” “Honor to Us All” and “I’ll Make a Man Out of You.” Camp will run weekdays, Aug. 16 through 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and conclude with two public performances on Saturday, Aug. 21.

This camp is directed and choreographed by Abi Norman. Set and costume design will be provided by Emily Widdoes of the Lincolnville School and lighting design will be provided by Morgan Cates of Camden. Norman directed musical theater camps in Searsport for the past three summers and has been an NMT staff member since 2007. She is a theater major at Sarah Lawrence College in New York.
