Aaron Blake, a second-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, will teach a master class from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 9 at the Midcoast Recreation Center.

Some of the best Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in the state will attend, including past winners of local events such as the Maine Skirmish and competitors from the world championships.

There also will be local law enforcement officers who train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and find it useful for their work, as well as high school students who are training for fitness and self-defense.

The event is being hosted by the Midcoast Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club.
