Belfast artist Debbie Flood is exhibiting her watercolor painting “Winter shelter” in the National Association of Women Artists 121st Annual Member Exhibit, which runs through June 27 at the National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South. The opening reception will be held Thursday, June 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 7 p.m.

Flood is a full member of the NAWA organization, a member of the National Watercolor Society and a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators. Her work focuses on portraying the emotional and spiritual bonds between horses and people. “Winter shelter” is a painting of Belfast resident Janine Colcord with her adopted mustang, Cuervo. Colcord once operated Colcord’s Stable and horse supply and now creates custom fine art jewelry full-time via her Black Horse Design business.
