Voters in all of the nine towns in SAD 3 gave approval to the district’s budget for the coming school years at the polls June 8.

They also approved sticking with the two-step budget approval process, which involves a public budget meeting followed by a validation vote.

Town-by-town results are as follows:

Question 1 asked if voters would affirm the results of the public budget meeting held May 26, where residents in attendance approved the $19.4 million spending plan.

Question 2 asked if voters wanted to keep the current budget approval process, which involves a public budget meeting, followed by a validation vote via referendum. A yes vote supported keeping this procedure, while a no vote supported reverting to the old procedure, which involved just the public budget meeting.
