An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity between June 2 and June 8:

May 14 (late entry)
Alexander G. Lyle, 59, of Lincolnville was traveling north on Camden Road in Lincolnville at about 9:30 p.m. when a raccoon ran out in front of him. The operator attempted to miss the raccoon but in doing so lost control of his motorcycle and crashed it into the ditch. The motorcycle slid across the roadway for about 40 feet before ending up in the ditch. Damage to Lyle’s 2006 Harley Davidson was estimated at $2,500. No injuries were reported in the crash.

May 29 (late entry)
Zachary A. Foote, 20, of South China was traveling south on Parmenter Road in Palermo at about 12:20 a.m. Foote was driving about 45 mph, came around a turn and hit a washboard effect on the turn and over-corrected the turn. Foote lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over two times into the field. Damage to Foote’s 1999 GMC pickup truck was estimated at $8,000. Palermo Rescue and Sgt. Benjamin Wheeler responded to the accident. No injuries were reported.

May 31
Amber N. Jerome, 47, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on Searsport Avenue.

Richard D. Palmer, 17, of Winterport was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

June 1
Angelina Rock, 33, of Lincolnville was arrested for violating condition of release and for impersonating a public servant.

June 2
Michael Ripley, 19, of Belfast was arrested for violating condition of release.

Ricky E. Woods, 47, of Belfast was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Matthew B. McIver, 23, of Monroe was arrested for violating condition of release.

Robert J. Haffner, 22, of Unity was summoned for speeding 83 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 9 in Unity.

A Belfast man was injured after he reportedly passed out while driving and crashed into some trees. According to the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, John E. Holland, 42, of Belfast was driving south on Route 1 in Northport at about 2:20 p.m. when he reportedly either fell asleep, passed out or blacked out. Holland then drifted to the right side of the road, police said, and when he attempted to get back into his lane, he overcorrected and drove across the northbound lane sideways, turning 180 degrees. Holland’s 2001 Subaru station wagon left the east side of the roadway, bounced off of several large pine trees and broke off some smaller fir trees, police said. Damage to Holland’s car was estimated at $2,000. Deputy James Porter, as well as Belfast Ambulance and Rescue Service and Northport First Responders, responded to the scene of the accident. Police say Holland, who blacked out several times while being treated by an EMT, was taken to Waldo County General Hospital, where he was being treated for unknown injuries.

June 3
Joey J. Feero, 31, of Brooks was summoned for failing to show proof of insurance and for failing to stop at a stop sign on Route 7 in Brooks.

David L. Oxton, 40, was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Allen J. Hubbard, 20, of Unity was summoned for operating after suspension and for improper plates.

Jacob R. Withcomb, 27, of Unity was summoned for possession of a usable amount of marijuana and for sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

Kimberly Corley, 48, of Swanville was arrested on a warrant for criminal complaint and for filing a false report.

Benjamin S. Rankin, 21, of Belfast was summoned for operating after revocation.

Tyson S. Servisky, 22, of Stockton Springs was arrested and charged with domestic violence terrorizing and domestic assault.

At about 3:30 p.m., Jennifer S. Raven, 26, of Unity was parked in the parking lot at Unity Elementary School on School Street in Unity.  Robert Barnes, 18, of Troy was backing from a parking space and backed into the rear driver’s side door of Raven’s 1999 Ford Station wagon. Damage to Raven’s car was estimated at $1,800 while no damage was reported on Barnes’ 2006 Dodge pickup truck.

June 4
Joseph P. Gonsalves, 20, of Bradford was summoned for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and for illegal transportation of liquor by a minor.

Zachary Larrabee, 25, of Vassalboro was summoned for criminal mischief.

Carlos S. Castro, 35, of Belfast was arrested for operating under the influence and for violating conditions of release.

Ashlie R. Belcher, age and town not available, was traveling west on Magog Road in Searsmont at about 5:20 p.m. when her dog distracted her. When she went to stop the dog from what it was doing, she lost track of where she was heading and went into an adjacent swamp. Belcher’s 2003 Dodge four-door submerged on the passenger’s side and water was up to the driver’s seat. Damage to Belcher’s car was estimated at $4,000. Neither Belcher nor her dog were injured.

At about 5:10 a.m., William E. Smith, 25, of Belfast was traveling west on Steven’s Pond Road in Liberty. Smith got off the hot top on the right side, over-corrected and lost control. Smith’s 1993 Volvo four-door slid across the eastbound lane, went into the ditch on the eastbound lane side and struck a tree on the passenger side of Smith’s car. Damage to Smith’s car was estimated at $3,000. Smith injured his right hand.

June 5
Thomas W. Knowles, 69, of Norridgewock was summoned for theft.

Ashley L. Boivin, 26, of Unity was summoned for operating after suspension.

June 6
Darlene A. Neal, 42, of Burnham was summoned for operating with an expired license.

Tyler A. Curry, 20, of Belmont was summoned for operating after suspension and for operating an ATV on a public way.

June 7
Wanda I. Grotton, 38, of Jackson was summoned for speeding 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on Waldo Station Road in Waldo and for failing to show proof of insurance.

Zachary J. Brown, 18, of Lewiston was summoned for disorderly conduct.

June 8
Scott W. Lee, 19, of Waldo was arrested for possession of liquor by a minor and for violating conditions of release.
