Nine Bowdoin College students have been awarded IdeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence Summer Fellowships.

The INBRE program of the National Institutes of Health supports the development of statewide networks to enhance the level of biomedical research being conducted. The Maine INBRE program focuses on comparative functional genomics research and offers summer fellowships for students to engage in faculty-mentored biomedical research.

Among the recipients was Alexandra Johanna McLain ’11 of Stockton Springs.
