The Belfast Rotary Club is resurrecting the National Boatbuilding Challenge Saturday, Aug. 21, and adding activities with it to create the Belfast Harbor Fest. Among the events planned for the day are a pancake breakfast, a 5K road race, live music, a sardine festival, a fishing tournament, a fun learning area for children, a classic boat show, and two performances of HMS Pinafore, one on Saturday evening and the second Sunday afternoon. There will also be an exhibitors’ tent.

Admission to watch the events to be held on the Belfast waterfront is free, although there is a $4 charge for the pancake and sausage breakfast, which will run from 7-10 a.m.
