An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity between June 9 and June 15.

June 2 (late entry)
Christopher T. Kenney, 20, of Belmont was arrested and charged with four counts of stealing drugs and four counts of possession of hydromorphone.

June 7 (late entry)
Stephen Harriman, 17, of Belmont was summoned for possession of tobacco products by a juvenile.

June 8 (late entry)
Nickie Amayo, 22, of Belfast was summoned for harassment by telephone.

Damien A. Richards, 17, of Belfast was summoned for unnecessary brake/acceleration noise.

At about 2:20 p.m., Damien A. Richards, 17, of Belfast left the parking lot of Belfast Area High School. Police reports indicate Richards was spinning tires. Michael M. Davis, 16, of Belfast was slowing in traffic on Waldo Avenue. Richards hit the rear of Davis’ car. Damage to the 1998 Volkswagen four-door Richards was driving was estimated at $1,000, while damage to the 1998 Honda four-door Davis was driving was estimated at $500. No one was injured in the accident.

June 9
Ryan Fuller, 18, of Searsmont, was summoned for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and for operating without a license.

June 10
Ronald J. Hayes, 42, of Lincolnville was arrested for operating under the influence and for operating after suspension.

Jeffrey A. Runge, 58, of Portland was summoned for speeding 49 mph in a 35 mph zone on Searsport Avenue.

June 11
Robert J. Connolly, 60, of Nanuet, N.Y., was summoned for speeding 73 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 3.

Cassandra G. Lucas, 18, of Searsmont was summoned for violation of instruction permit.

Mark E. Leathers, 49, of Belfast was summoned for violation of city ordinance insurance requirements for his taxi cab and for operating a vehicle for hire without insurance.

June 12
Anthony E. Eneff, 43, of Belfast was summoned for littering from a motor vehicle and for operating after suspension.

June 13
Robert C. Doughty, 33, of Knox was summoned for speeding 49 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 1.

Shawna L. Peckham, 27, of Searsport was summoned for speeding 49 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 1.

Scott D. Westover, 37, of Belfast was summoned for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

At about 12:30 p.m., the 2006 Subaru SUV of Jane C. Duperry, 62, of Belfast was parked unattended at the Hannaford on Lincolnville Avenue. Police said a witness saw Scott D. Westover, 37, of Belfast backed from a parking space in the parking lot and hit the rear of Duperry’s car with the front passenger side fender of his car. Westover left the scene of the accident. No one was injured. Damage to Duperry’s car was estimated at $1,000, while damage to the 2002 Mazda four-door Westover was driving was estimated at $500.

At about 10:20 a.m., Benjamin L. Thompson, 25, of Swanville was making a left turn off Wight Street on Northport Avenue. Thompson failed to see that Guenter Brandl, 46, of Munchendorf, Austria, was slowing to make a right turn into City Park. Thompson pulled out and struck the side of Brandl’s vehicle as it passed in front of him. No injuries were reported. Damage to Thompson’s 2001 Dodge pickup truck was estimated at $1,000, while damage to the 2011 Ford two-axle single-unit camper Brandl was driving was estimated at $1,500.
