The new American Revival Theater Company is asking artists and graphic designers for help in designing its inaugural logo and brand identity. The open call for entries runs through Sunday, July 4.

American Revival Theater Company is dedicated to presenting the works of prize-winning American playwrights. All performances will be free and open to the public. Ed Patterson, executive producer for ARTC, said the group will draw talent from within Maine as well as from out of state to present performances of the highest professional quality.

ARTC will release a list of its initial performances soon. The troupe also will collaborate with CTN to broadcast performances that will reach viewers all across the state.

The call for entries is open to all artists, whether professional or amateur. Logos and designs will be judged based on their ability to represent the mission and charge of American Revival Theater Company. Entries should be submitted in pdf format via e-mail to info@americanrevivaltheater.org

Although there is no financial prize, the winning artist will benefit from the publicity generated for the theater company’s launch.  In addition, the winning artist and design will be featured in promotional materials created in ARTC’s inaugural year including mention in programs, ads, Web site, e-mail and any other media utilized. Logos must be suitable for use across all forms of media. All entries become the property of American Revival Theater Company for unlimited usage.

American Revival Theater Company is a nonprofit (501c3 status pending) whose board of directors includes Patterson, William Steele, Taylor Rodgers, Peter Bloch, Sean O’Hare and Bill Blood.
