Local artist Mary Trotochaud will open her pottery studio and garden at 103 Northport Road to visitors Friday and Saturday, July 2 and 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Trotochaud is known for her handcrafted, wheel-thrown “art for everyday” stoneware pieces that reflect the palette of Maine’s coastline and seasonal landscapes. Her garden includes perennial ornamentals, as well as vegetables, berries, herbs and fruit trees.

The Trotochaud pottery studio is just outside Belfast, off Route 52 via Ryan Road. It is open year-round by chance or by appointment. For information, call 342-2251.
