On Thursday, July 8 from 6 to 8 p.m., Perimeter Gallery will host a closing party for Gideon Bok’s “Wall Drawing.” Several times a week over the last four weeks, Camden artist Bok has been drawing directly on the gallery wall, from floor to ceiling and in an expanse of more than 18 feet.

Bok is known for his perceptual paintings of his various studio spaces and the people and things that inhabit them over time. People come and go and things get moved, as does his vantage point, resulting in work that is layered and spatially complex.

The subject of Bok’s immense “Wall Drawing” is the interior of Chase’s Daily which, in addition to the gallery, houses a restaurant, bakery and farmer’s market. The gallery also has installed four of Bok’s paintings and two large drawings on paper.

After the closing party, the drawing will be erased and the wall re-painted.

Perimeter Gallery is located in Chase’s Daily, 96 Main St. Hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
