The 2010 Soccer Academy, directed by Ryan Hurley and Don Beckwith, will run Monday through Friday, July 19-23 at Point Lookout in Northport.

The soccer mini-camp for girls and boys ages 6-7 will be 8 to 9 a.m. The Soccer Academy for ages eight through 13 will be 9 a.m. to noon.

Enrollment is limited so it is advised participants register as soon as possible. Registration closes on Friday, July 16. The mini-camp is $40 for the week, and the academy is $75 for the week. Full tuition is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable.

Complete both sides of the registration form and waiver. Make checks payable to “Point Lookout.” Registration and payment can be mailed to: Point Lookout Fitness Center, P.O. Box 119, Lincolnville, ME 04849, or dropped off at the Point Lookout Fitness Center on Atlantic Highway in Northport.

Participants will be taught dribbling, passing, shooting, controlling and defending techniques during the camp and academy sessions.

Items that will not be provided by the camp are shin guards, soccer shoes, non-marking shoes (for indoor play), and a ball for the week. It is asked that participants remember to bring these items each day.

Campers should also bring sunscreen, a personal water bottle and a snack to eat during breaks.
