The newly formed Belfast Band, under the direction of John Cameron, will perform its debut concert Sunday, July 25 at 6 p.m. at the Belfast Academy of Music, 24 Church St. The concert will take place outside on the grounds of the school.

The Belfast Band is a brass band with woodwinds and percussion that boasts about 20 members. The musical selections will be popular tunes, marches and a little classical music.

Concertgoers are invited to bring lawn chairs or a blanket for seating and enjoy the free concert in the cool of the early evening. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be rescheduled to a later date to be announced.
