As part of the Bucksport Bay Festival, The Riverbend Players of Bucksport are gearing up for their annual summer performance. They are once again to be the opening and closing acts of the festival, and are planning a performance for all ages.

This year their show will include Danny Baker, professional magician; an Irish step dancing group; Gena Churchill, accordion player extraordinaire, and one of their “regulars,” as well as comedy, dancing (can you say hula girls?), and much singing and other performers. Also included in the show this year are several comedic military skits, directed by Peter Clain. The Grouchy Old Ladies will be putting in an appearance as well. There will be a surprise guest emcee for the show this year, too.

As the finale to both evening’s shows Riverbend will present a combined talent performance honoring military personnel present in the audience. The group invites all past and present military folk, from all branches of the military, to come and attend the shows.

Show dates include Thursday, July 22, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 25 at 7 p.m., at the Alamo Theater, Main Street in Bucksport. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and students. Tickets may be purchased in advance at BookStacks on Main Street in Bucksport, or at the door the evening of the show.
