An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity between July 7 through July 13.

June 27 (late entry)
Casie R. Littlefield, 30, of Knox was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

July 1 (late entry)
J. Michael Shell, 44, of Belfast was summoned for criminal trespass and criminal mischief on Field Street on June 30.

Two cars were damaged after one backed into the other on High Street at about 6 p.m. A juvenile female, 17, of Belfast was parked next to Belfast Variety and backed into Avis Metcalf, 66, of Swanville as she was trying to get to the gas pumps. Metcalf was not in the vehicle when it was struck. Damage to the teen’s 2005 Hyundai four-door was estimated at $800, while damage to Metcalf’s 2003 Dodge four-door was estimated at $500.

July 2 (late entry)
No one was injured in a two-car accident that occurred at about 8:30 a.m. near Dunkin Donuts on Starrett Drive. Joan M. Faulkingham, 72, of Searsport was approaching the drive-up window at Dunkin Donuts and scraped the corner of the building with the left front fender of her 2003 Ford van. Faulkinham backed up, but failed to look and see that Kristi L. Gautesen-Genthner, 32, of Waldoboro was stopped behind her. Faulkingham bumped into Gautesen-Genthner’s 2006 Jeep SUV. Damage to Gautesen-Genthner’s car was estimated at $1,000, and damage to Faulkingham’s van was also estimated at $1,000. No one was injured in the accident.

A man backing out of a parking space crashed into another man’s car at about 11:35 a.m. on Main Street. Mark Lynch, 42, of Northport was driving his 2001 BMW two-door on Main Street when he was struck by Arthur F. Mullen, 63, of Pawtucket, R.I., as he was backing out of a parking space. No one was injured in the accident. Damage to Lynch’s car was estimated at $2,500, while damage to Mullen’s 2007 Honda SUV was estimated at $1,500.

July 3 (late entry)
A woman rear-ended another driver at about 4 p.m. on Main Street. Pia K. Walker, 41, of Liberty was driving west on Main Street behind Barbara R. Baugh, 56, of Deland, Fla., who had stopped on Main Street to turn onto Lincolnville Avenue. Walker told police she saw Baugh stop, but had looked away briefly and hit Baugh’s 2010 Ford four-door. Damage to Walker’s 2000 Dodge van was estimated at $1,000, and damage to Baugh’s car was estimated at $1,500.

July 6 (late entry)
An accident in the parking lot of Hannaford’s on Starrett Drive resulted in damage to both vehicles but no injuries to the drivers. At about 10:40 a.m., Albert C. Gibbs, 60, of Belfast was pulling into the Hannaford Parking lot from Starrett Drive, while Carol S. Jaques, 67, of Belfast was pulling out of the parking lot. Jaques did not see Gibbs pulling in and struck the front bumper of Gibbs’ 1996 Buick four-door. Damage to Gibbs car was estimated at $300, while damage to Jacques’ 2008 Buick SUV was estimated at $2,500. No one was injured in the accident.

July 7
Danielle M. Seekins, 22, of Searsport was summoned for violating condition of release.

At about 12:23 a.m. on Market Street, Gary B. Daigle, 55, of Monroe was backing his 1995 Dodge van into a parking space and backed into the car of Richard A. Newman, 52, of Prospect. Daigle did not see that Newman had come up behind him. No one was injured in the accident. Damage to Daigle’s van was estimated at $1,000, and damage to Newman’s 2007 Pontiac four-door was estimated at $1,500.

At about 11:19 a.m, Russell S. Cummings, 57, of Oxford was traveling south on Route 1, while Rita C. Young, 63, of Bangor was making a left turn off Footbridge Road onto Route 1. When Young turned onto Route 1, she struck Cummings’ 2002 GMC pickup truck, which Young did not see as it was passing in front of her. Damage to Cummings’ truck was estimated at $3,500, while damage to Young’s 2004 Chrysler four-door was estimated at $1,500.

July 8
Harvey E. Moody, 28, of Gray was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Valorie L. Haskins, 34, of Brooks was summoned for driving at an imprudent speed and for improper passing on City Point Road.

Lloyd Killam, 27, of Belfast was arrested on a warrant for theft by deception and for violating condition of release.

July 10
Nanette H. Gionfriddo, 49, of Lincolnville was summoned for failing to register a motor vehicle.

Theodore L. Guerry, 42, of Belfast was summoned for failing to register a motor vehicle.

Gabrielle A. Scribner, 20, of Morrill was summoned for speeding 59 mph in a 45 mph zone on Poors Mill Road.

Abigail J. Welch, 33, of Morrill was summoned for speeding 59 mph in a 45 mph zone on Poors Mill Road.

Matthew L. Riley, 20, of Belmont was summoned for speeding 59 mph in a 45 mph zone on Poors Mill Road.

Emily Y. Voigt, 31, of Blue Hill was summoned for failing to register a motor vehicle.

Cali A. Wing, 33, of Monroe was summoned for operating under the influence on Swan Lake Avenue.

July 12
Justin Chambers, 20, of Bucksport was arrested and charged with burglary and theft.

Jeremy Murphy, 20, of Orland was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and violation of condition of release.

Jesse Davis, 18, of Bucksport was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and violation of condition of release.

Abigail H. Leaming, 20, of Thorndike was summoned for failing to show proof of insurance.

James P. Goodwin, 31, of Searsport was arrested and charged with operating under the influence.

July 13
Dennis P. Ingerson, 37, of Belfast was arrested and charged with domestic assault.
