Habitat for Humanity will be the focus of “Under Construction,” a Vacation Bible School to be held Aug. 3 to 6 from 5-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 95 High St. The program is being jointly sponsored by St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church and First Baptist Church.

“Under Construction” shows children how to help others in their community through Christian service. Using construction metaphors and hands-on building projects, the children will learn about community and the need for decent shelter for all.

Attendees will share supper together each evening, work on projects to support construction of Habitat for Humanity of Waldo County’s first house, explore our Habitat for Creation and how we share space and care for the creation around us, and team with people of all ages in activities to support the local Habitat volunteers and the Habitat family.

The Vacation Bible School is for children ages 3 to 12 and promises to be fun. To register call Amy at 338-2544 or Linda at 548-1049.
