Barrett’s Cove was a bustle of people and boats the morning of July 25 as canoers and kayakers readied their crafts for the 35th annual Megunticook Lake Race.

The racing started at 10 a.m., sending boaters across Megunticook Lake in Camden to Norton’s Pond in Lincolnville. The race’s course was approximately a 5.5-mile trek.
