Daniel A. Kingsbury, 86, died at his residence July 28, 2010.

He was born December 25, 1923, in Frankfort, a son of Albert F. and Mabel (Shields) Kingsbury. He served in the Army during World War II.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Josephine; a daugher, Madeline; and a brother, Richard.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn; his children, Francis Kingsbury, Colleen and Douglas Mitchell, Galen and Brenda Kingsbury, Annie Rose and John McHatten and Eric and Cindy Kingsbury; 14 grandchildren, Mona, Lynn, David, Gavin, Carolee, Darci, Kyle, Ryan, Sara, Tyson, Breanne, Gabe, Ethan and Evan; four great-grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jennifer, Adam and a very special great-grandchild, Lane; and his special canine friend, Sasha.

He is also survived by three sisters, Arlene Martin, Joyce Richards and JoAnn Cook.

At Dan’s request, there will be no services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
