Mount View High School student-athletes will begin fall practices/tryouts Monday, Aug. 16 or Tuesday, Aug. 17, announced new athletic director Chuck Karter.

The Mount View athletic department requires student-athletes to submit a current physical examination form and a parental permission form prior to any participation in fall sports activities.

Athletes may pick up forms at the school’s main office, or download them from the Regional School Unit 3 district website at msad3.org (go to Athletics, see forms on the left side of page, download/print). Athletes and parents may review tryout and practice schedules by logging on to highschool sports.net.

Mount View fall sports training and tryouts will begin for the following sports on the following days and times:

Field hockey — Monday, Aug. 16 at 8 a.m. at the high school.

Boys and girls soccer  — Monday, Aug. 16 at 7 a.m. at the high school.

Football — Monday, Aug. 16 at 7 a.m. is equipment distribution at the high school, with practices 8 to 10:15 a.m. and 5 to 7:15 p.m.

Golf — Monday, Aug. 16 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the Country View Golf Course in Brooks.

Cheering — Tuesday, Aug. 17 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the high school’s main office.
