The third annual Lincolnville Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lincolnville Beach. Activities and surprises are planned for the whole family, including a parade down Route 1.

The Fall Festival Planning Committee is seeking parade entries of all types, including floats, children on bikes, antique autos, fire trucks and as many tractors as can be rustled up. The theme for this year’s event is “Scarecrows at the Beach.” Entrants are encouraged to put on their thinking caps and come up with a great entry, organizers said. Other parade participants will be the Lincolnville Band, the Anah Shrine Go-Karts, Shoe String Theater puppets, and more.
