World-renowned basketball shooter Dave Hopla will make a trip to the Midcoast in October in hopes of passing on his shooter’s touch to student-athletes throughout the area.

Hopla, who resides in Boothbay Harbor and is the current assistant coach of player development for the NBA’s Washington Wizards, will host a basketball clinic noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31 at Point Lookout in Northport. The clinic is open to students in grades three and higher.

The three-hour clinic will feature one hour of lecture and two hours of skills and drills. The clinic, which has limited space, is $35 per person.
