David N. Webert Jr., 58, of Thorndike, died Aug. 28, 2010, at his residence

He was born Sept. 9, 1951, in Penn Yan, N.Y., the son of David and Eleanor (Coleman) Webert.

David was an avid collector and antique dealer who enjoyed working on his antique car and boat. He and his wife moved to Maine 18 years ago from northern New York. They enjoyed traveling together, always doing things together; they were best friends.  He was always doing things to help others.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sheri Webert, of Thorndike; his parents, David and Eleanor Webert of Syracuse, N.Y.; three sisters, Claudia Mathis of Syracuse, N.Y., Paula Morris of Bristol, Conn., and Amy Cartwright of Syracuse, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 5, 2-4 p.m. at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
