Elizabeth L. Kenney, 84, died Sept. 1, 2010.

She was born in Belfast May 28, 1926, a daughter of Joseph and Lillian Kenney.

Elizabeth worked for many years in manufacturing. In her spare time she enjoyed watching and feeding birds, watching “Little House on the Prairie” and planting and enjoying her flowers. Elizabeth was a longtime member of the First Church in Belfast. She was very involved in church activities like the Eight O’clock Club and the Christmas wreath program. She loved to walk and walked two miles every day until she was 80 and was unable to get around as well.

She was predeceased by her parents and five siblings, Emerald, Joseph, Arthur, Viole, and Henry.

Elizabeth is survived by a loving daughter, Kimberley Overlock, and her partner, Robert Brown, of Searsmont; a grandson Chad A. Overlock, of Belfast; a favorite niece, Diana Brawer, of Tennessee; many other nieces and nephews; her special friend, Lucille Paul; and her cat, Smokey.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 8, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
