It was another beautiful late-summer day in the Midcoast Tuesday as many area high school golf squads were in early-season action on the links.

The day brought success for both Camden Hills and Belfast, which earned victories over Rockland and Medomak Valley, respectively. Georges Valley also lost its first match of the season to host St. Dominic of Lewiston. Mount View of Thorndike also was in action Tuesday, but results of that match were not available.

Belfast 7, Medomak Valley 2 … At the Northport Golf Club, the host Lions (3-0) continued their strong early season play and upended the visiting Panthers (1-2). Belfast’s Jamie Jackson was the medalist, shooting 36 for nine holes. Belfast held a four-golfer aggregate score of 164 to Medomak Valley’s 182.

The individual results, with Belfast golfers listed first, were: Jackson (36) beat Isaac Greenrose (40); Stephen Simmons (40) beat Kyle Durkee (58); Tim Sticht (43) beat Alex Greenrose (52); Tyler McDevitt (47) lost to Adam Lynch (43); Dustin Howes (45) beat Zach Judkins (54); and Jordan Luther lost to John Wilcox (47) by disqualification.

Camden Hills 8, Rockland 1 … At the Samoset Resort Golf Club in Rockport, the Windjammers (2-1) won their second match in two days as they earned a victory over winless Rockland (0-3). Jay Knowlton was the medalist, shooting 39 through nine holes.

The individual results, with Windjammers listed first, were: Knowlton (39) beat Cam Clement (43); John Vannorsdall (43) defeated Reilly Flanagan (46); Eddie Socker (49) lost to Connor Clement (44); Miles Ingraham (46) defeated Jordan Carter (50); Andrew Kyle (57) beat Taylor Overlock (67); and John Cummons (55) defeated Anthony Dayboch (60).

St. Dominic 7, Georges Valley 0 … At Auburn, the Buccaneers (2-1) fell in their first match of the season as the Saints cruised to a shutout victory. Isaac Reid of the Saints was the medalist, shooting a 40 for nine holes.

The individual results, with Buccaneers listed first, were: Mike Cormier (48) lost to Dylan Rodrigue (44); Wesley Bryant (49) fell to Zach Deblois (43); Leah White (54) lost to Amanda Turcotte (51); Bethany Schulberg (58) lost to Isaac Reid (40); and Anna Sanborn (68) lost to Anthony Faggone (46).

In exhibition play, Kendra Young (63) lost to Joe Bryant (47).
