Area golf courses were exceptionally busy Tuesday afternoon with many of the Midcoast high school teams in action and now appearing to hit midseason form.

Georges Valley, Medomak Valley and Belfast came away with victories on the links, while Mount View, Rockland and Camden Hills fell in their respective matches. The Lions currently have the best record of any Midcoast team through Tuesday, sporting a 5-1 mark.

Georges Valley 4.5, Wiscasset 2.5 … At the Rockland Golf Club, despite losing their top two matches, the Buccaneers (3-2) secured their third win with a two-point victory over the Redskins. Wiscasset’s Jordan Jones was the medalist after shooting 38 for nine holes. The Bucs top golfers outshot the Redskins 217-222.

The ndividual results, with Bucs listed first, were: Mike Cormier (48) fell to Jordan Jones (38); Wesley Bryant (54) lost to Chandler Longfellow (46); Leah White (52) bested Alex Cromwell (55); Bethany Schuelberg (63) defeated Dave Hardman (83); and Kendra Young won by forfeit.

Medomak Valley 7, Mount View 2 … At the Country View Golf Course in Brooks, the Panthers (3-2) outplayed the hosts and came away with a convincing win over the Mustangs (0-4). The Panthers’ top four golfers outshot the Mustangs 179-201, though Mount View’s Colby Blanchard was the medalist in Tuesday’s round, shooting a 39 through nine holes.

The individual results, with Panthers listed first, were: Alex Greenrose (45) lost to Blanchard (39); Kyle Durkee (45) fell to Erik Larrabee (44); Isaac Greenrose (48) defeated Zach Holman (57); Zach Judkins (45) defeated Montana Maynard (66); Adam Lynch (46) defeated Owen Freeman (62); and John Wilcox (43) beat Dash Albright (61).

Belfast 8, Rockland 1 … At the Northport Golf Course, the Lions (5-1) continued to prowl through the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B South Division ranks with a solid victory over the Tigers (1-4). Belfast’s Jamie Jackson was the day’s top shooter, scoring a 37 through nine holes to earn medalist honors. Belfast’s top four golfers outshot Rockland 163-174.

The individual results, with Lions listed first, were: Jackson (37) defeated Cam Clement (42); Stephen Simmons (41) defeated Reilly Flanagan (43); Dustin Howes (44) defeated Connor Clement (48); Tim Stitch (41) bested Jordan Carter (45); Tyler McDevitt (53) fell to Parker Spear (33); and Jordan Luther beat Taylor Overlock (66).

Lincoln Academy 7, Camden Hills 2 … At the Samoset Resort in Rockport, the Windjammers (2-3) could not overcome the undefeated Eagles (6-0) and fell in a competitive match. Lincoln Academy’s Malcolm Oliver was the medalist after shooting a 31 through nine holes. The Eagles’ top four golfers outshot the Windjammers 149-174.

The individual results, with Windjammers listed first, were: John Vannorsdall (39) lost to Oliver (31); Jay Knowlton (43) defeated Stephen Quinlan (45); Miles Ingraham (46) fell to Seward Matel (37); Eddie Socker (47) lost to Goran Johanson (39); Max Fischer (57) lost to Jalen Lincoln (42); and Zach Christie (46) defeated Alex Graves (51).

In junior varsity play, Andrew Kyle (57) lost to Casey Poland (46); and John Cummons (58) fell to Kelsey Leeman (51).
