The Waldo County YMCA Bluefish swim team will kick of its 2010-11 season with a free clinic Tuesday through Friday, Oct. 12-15 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Tom & Sally Savage Pool. The clinic is open to new swimmers only.

The season will get underway Tuesday, Oct. 26 at the Tom & Sally Savage Pool Complex in the Waldo County YMCA. Times and dates will be poste  on the website and at the YMCA.

It is a six-month program running from mid-October to mid-March. Swimmers are required to be annual members in good standing at the Waldo County YMCA. The Waldo County YMCA will offer financial aid to anyone qualified and will not turn any qualified applicant away.

The Bluefish is a competitive swim team for boys and girls ages 6 through 16. This is not a learn-to-swim program. All children participating must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted.

Last season the team had 80 swimmers.
