Anna L. (Wood) Scribner, 93, died Oct. 28, 2010.
She was born May 31, 1917, in North Searsmont, a daughter of George and Nora (Higgins) Wood.
Anna graduated from Crosby High School in 1937. She worked locally for many years in the clothing and shoe factories. As a young woman she was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebekahs, and Equity Grange.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Donald Scribner Sr.; five sisters; and three brothers.
Anna is survived by a son, Donald Jr., his fiancé Jamie Shenk, of Washington, and her grandson Cory Scribner of Bangor; two special nieces, Donna Hall of Parkman, whom she raised, and Hazel Pendleton of Belfast; a special nephew, Ralph Wood, of Morrill; and other family members.
Funeral services will be held at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Ave. Monday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. Private interment will be at the Morrill Village Cemetery.
