Police are investigating a residential burglary that was reported on the Jesse Robbins Road Tuesday night, Nov. 9, which resulted in the theft of a Nintendo Wii game system.

Belfast Detective Sgt. Bryan Cunningham said the theft was reported when the residents arrived home and noticed evidence of a break-in.

“Entry was gained by prying open the front door,” Cunningham said.

Missing from the home was the Wii game console as well as the components that go along with it, Cunningham said.

The burglary is believed to have occurred sometime before dark Nov. 9, Cunningham said, and a neighbor told police of a white vehicle with a loud exhaust that was spotted at the residence earlier in the day.

Maine State Police are assisting with the investigation.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact police at 338-5255.
