Youngs celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

Pete and Lois Young celebrated 65 years of marriage Nov. 13, 2010.

They were married in 1945, shortly after Pete, a Seabee, returned from the Philippines at the end of World War II.

The wedding took place at Pete’s grandparents’ house and the couple’s attendants were good friends Margaret and Harold Smith of Belfast.

Pete and Lois have six children, Joan Taylor of Albion, Mac Young of Swanville, Linda Klyne of Schellsburg, Pa., David Young of Swanville, Martin Young of Swanville and Bonnie Bowden of Belmont. They have 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
